Naushera Majha Singh (Batala),12 JUNE 2025 FACT RECORDER Punjab Desk: Acting President of Punjab and young MLA from Batala, Amansher Singh Sheri Kalsi, has initiated the cleaning work of the village pond in Naushera Majha Singh in response to the long-standing demand of the local residents.
Speaking on the matter, Mandeep Singh Gill, District Youth Leader, stated that the cleaning of the pond has been undertaken by MLA Sheri Kalsi to fulfill the villagers’ demand. The cleaning work has been continuously underway for the past 3-4 days. Sludge is being removed from the pond, and the overgrown algae is being cleared out, with the pond’s embankments being developed.
He mentioned that the pond had not been cleaned for a long time, but thanks to the efforts of MLA Sheri Kalsi, the cleaning work has now started. Under the leadership of MLA Kalsi, various development works are progressing rapidly across the constituency. These include not only the cleaning of ponds to ensure proper drainage of wastewater but also the construction of sports stadiums for youth, development of beautiful parks in villages, and the building of streets and roads.
He also extended thanks to Gurdeep Singh, Aman Gill, Laddi Ji, Sandhu Brothers Amanveer Sandhu, and Kaka Ji, stating that with the renovation of the pond expected to be completed soon, the villagers’ problems will be resolved.
