Deadline Extended to Apply for Subsidy on Cotton Seeds

Punjab Desk: Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Harpreet Pal Kaur stated that the Punjab Government has extended the deadline to apply for a 33% subsidy on BT Cotton Hybrid Seeds recommended by Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. This initiative aims to promote crop diversification and increase the area under cotton cultivation in the state.
She informed that earlier, the last date to apply/register for the subsidy was June 15, 2025, which has now been extended to June 30, 2025. Cotton-growing farmers can apply for this subsidy through the online portal https://agrisubsidy.agrimachinerypb.com by 5:00 PM on June 30.
She also mentioned that the staff of the Agriculture Department is organizing technical camps in villages to spread awareness and provide information about cotton cultivation. This effort is part of the Punjab Government’s campaign to increase the area under cotton.
In case any farmer faces difficulty in registering/applying on the portal, they can contact their nearest Block Agriculture Office for assistance.
