Punjab Desk:   Harjot​Singh Bains Cabinet Minister With the efforts of the Education and Information and Public Relations Department, the appearance around Guru Nagari Sri Anandpur Sahib has started changing. In 1999, to prevent road accidents, the blinker lights at the main intersections, which have been closed for two decades, are being replaced by 24 new blinker lights at a cost of about Rs. 10 lakh. These lights will prove to be very effective in preventing road accidents.

Sub-Divisional Officer of the Electrical Wing of the Public Works Department, Anand Saini, said that with these lights, the vehicle drivers can see the warning messages from a distance during fog, deep darkness and high pollution and accidents can be avoided to a large extent. He said that these modern lights are being installed in the main intersections around the city, which is a big relief for the passers-by. The vehicle drivers will get the facility of driving safely with this. He said that this work is going on at a fast pace. This work will be completed before the 350th martyrdom celebrations of the glorious Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the shield of India.

On this occasion, Harjit Singh Jeeta, President of the Municipal Council, Kamikkar Singh Dadhi, Halka Coordinator, Jaspreet Singh JP, Deepak Agra, President of the Trade Council, Sammi Barari Block President, Jagjit Singh Jaggi Block President, Anurag Sharma, BT Sidhu, and party workers expressed their happiness over this initiative of the Cabinet Minister, S.
