Review of the vaccination program conducted during the meeting

Punjab Desk: A meeting regarding the review of the vaccination program was held at the Civil Surgeon’s office on Friday under the chairmanship of District Tarn Taran Civil Surgeon Dr. Gurpreet Singh Rai. Multipurpose Health Supervisors (Female) and BSAs from different blocks participated in this meeting. On this occasion, District Vaccination Officer Dr. Varinder Pal Kaur and Dr. Ishita from the World Health Organization were also present.
Giving information about this meeting, Civil Surgeon Dr. Gurpreet Singh Rai said that the main objective of the meeting is to review the ongoing vaccination program in various blocks so that the 100 percent vaccination target can be achieved in the district.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Gurpreet Singh Rai has directed BSAG to ensure timely reporting of vaccination on the portal without any delay. He said that during the meeting, a special review was made of the various vaccinations administered in the blocks and the senior medical officers were instructed to keep on inspecting the vaccination programme in their respective blocks from time to time.
District Immunization Officer Dr. Varinder Pal Kaur said that the Mass Media Wing and Block Educators deployed in various blocks should spread maximum awareness about the vaccination program so that its benefits reach every eligible beneficiary. She said that the vaccination program of the district will be further improved through the discussions held during the meeting.
Dr. Ishita, who arrived from the World Health Organization, said that it is very important to run the vaccination program in a proper manner in the blocks for the good physical and mental development of eligible beneficiary children and pregnant women.
District Mass Media Officer Mr. Sukhwant Singh Sidhu, DMEO Loveleen Kaur and Computer Operator Mr. Sandeep Singh were also present on the occasion.
