In one of the most heartbreaking news, renowned Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda is no more. The singer, famous for hit songs like Surname, Kangani, Kamla, Sardaari, passed away at the age of 35 on October 8, 2025, while undergoing treatment at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. The news was confirmed by popular Punjabi singer Jasbir Jassi, who shared the update on social media, writing, “Haye O merya Rabbaa. Dhakka karta.”
🔹 Details of the Accident
According to media reports, Rajvir met with a tragic accident on September 27, 2025, while traveling to Shimla with his friends. He was riding a 1300cc bike when it collided with a wild animal in Baddi, resulting in severe head and spinal injuries. While the other riders escaped unharmed, Rajvir was critically injured.

Rajvir was immediately rushed to Fortis Hospital, Mohali. Singer Mankirat Aulakh revealed to the media that Rajvir’s spine was broken at two points, and he also had a broken neck, which disrupted oxygen supply to his brain. He remained on a ventilator for 11 days. Though there were some signs of improvement initially, his condition deteriorated in the later days, leading to his death.

Singer Jeet Jagjit shared that Rajvir was riding with a group of 5-6 biker friends when his bike collided with a wild animal. A close aide revealed that Rajvir’s wife had advised him not to go on the ride. According to Rajvir’s friend, in their last conversation, his wife urged him to stay home, but unfortunately, events unfolded differently.
