Punjab Desk: Due to the efforts of Member of Parliament Mr Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, fulfilling the long-pending demand of the residents of Barnala, Punjab Cabinet today decided to establish Municipal Corporation Barnala.
Thanking the Chief Minister Mr Bhagwant Singh Mann for the Municipal Corporation status to Barnala, Mr Hayer added that with this declaration long standing demand of people of Barnala has been fulfilled. He added that this historic decision shall give new direction and momentum to developmental pace in Barnala. He also thanked the Minister for Local Bodies Dr Ravjot Singh.
He added that declaring setting up for Municipal Corporation Barnala shall entail enough funds for overall development of the area.
