Special vigilance ordered to prevent illegal arrival of paddy from neighbouring states
Abohar 16 October ,2025 Fact Recorder Punjab Desk: SDM Abohar Shri Krishna Pal Rajput conducted a surprise inspection of the barrier installed by the Police/Mandi Board on the inter-state Punjab-Rajasthan border. He asked the District Police to maintain strict vigilance to prevent illegal arrival of paddy from neighboring states in the grain markets of district Fazilka.
He has also ordered all the district mandi officers and market committee secretaries to keep a close watch on the arrival of paddy from other states in the mandis. He said that there is a need to maintain vigil in the mandis bordering Rajasthan due to the fear of large quantities of the crop coming from outside. He has directed the police officers to set up special inter-state border posts on the borders with the neighbouring state.
