Punjab Desk: MLA Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of conspiring under the Modi government to cut the names of 10 lakh ration card holders in Punjab. The MLA said this while addressing meetings in the villages of Sakanwali and Gulabewala in the district against this dictatorial decision.
MLA Kaka Brar stated that BJP is deliberately targeting the people of Punjab. Removing such a large number of people from the ration card scheme is a direct attack on the state’s poor and Dalit communities. According to him, this is a well-thought-out strategy to harass Punjabis and tarnish the image of the Punjab Government. BJP wants to deprive the poor of food grains and provoke people against the Punjab Government. “We will not allow this to happen at any cost,” he asserted.
He further added that common people are already living under hardship. With rising prices of petrol, diesel, and essential commodities, people are already pushed into poverty. Such a decision is like rubbing salt into their wounds. Therefore, the Centre should immediately withdraw this move and clear people’s doubts.
On this occasion, Surjit Singh Sandhu (Chairman, Market Committee, Sri Muktsar Sahib), Harjinder Singh Sidhu (Block President), Manga Sharma (Sarpanch), Sukhpal Singh Sandhu (Sarpanch), Hardeep Singh Sandhu, Charanjit Singh Sandhu, Parampal Singh Sandhu, Baldev Singh Sandhu, Nachhattar Singh Sandhu, Sarpanch Gurtej Singh, Tejinderpal Singh Brar, Jagdeep Gill, Gurpreet Brar, Harpreet Brar, Jagmeet Singh (Numberdar), Sevak Singh Brar, and Jagmeet Singh were present.
