Punjab Desk: The students of Government ITI (Women), Gurdaspur, enthusiastically celebrated the Teejan festival today. On this occasion, Mr. Raman Behl, Chairman of the Punjab Health Systems Corporation, attended as the chief guest at the colorful celebration.

While congratulating the students on the Teejan festival, Mr. Raman Behl stated that Teejan is a rich cultural festival of Punjab, also known as the festival of daughters. He said that Teejan fairs showcase the vibrant culture of Punjab, where the very soul of Punjab resonates. He emphasized that while the Mann government is working for the all-round development of the state, it is also promoting traditional festivals with great zeal. He praised the students for celebrating Teejan and showcasing the beauty of colorful Punjab, adding that all the students and staff deserve appreciation.

On this occasion, Mr. Behl distributed job offer letters to 17 girls from Government ITI (Women), Gurdaspur, who were selected by various reputed companies. Wishing the students a bright future, he stressed the importance of skill development in today’s era, stating that a skilled individual never lags behind in life. He also praised the efforts of Principal Mr. Davinder Rana and the entire staff. Mr. Behl also planted saplings on campus to promote environmental awareness and greenery.

Principal Mr. Davinder Rana shared that eight different trades are currently running at the ITI. He mentioned that students who have passed 8th and 10th grades can take admission in trades like Computer Operator Programming Assistant, Computer Hardware, Fashion Technology, Cosmetology, Electronics, Dress Making, Tailoring, and Embroidery. Admissions are granted based on merit in 8th, 10th, and 12th grades. He added that two rounds of counseling have already been conducted and admissions will continue until next month. He appealed to the girls of the district to enroll in Government ITI (Women), Gurdaspur, and make themselves skilled.

Senior leader Advocate Sucha Singh Multani and several other dignitaries of the city were also present on this occasion.
