Punjab Desk: Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Tarn Taran Mr. Rahul, IAS and under the supervision of Chief Agriculture Officer Tarn Taran Dr. Tejbir Singh, under the Information, Education and Communication activities, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Block Patti, organized competitions on the subject of Environment and Stubble Management at PM Shri Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Harike.
On this occasion, Block Agriculture Officer, Patti Dr. Bhupinder Singh gave technical information about the adverse effects of burning crop residue on the fertility of the land and the environment and said that our future depends on the thinking and performance of the youth. He said that there is a lot of enthusiasm and enthusiasm among the youth and they can bring the desired change in the society with their positive thinking. He asked the students to give the message to their families and other acquaintances to take care of the environment and motivate them not to burn stubble. He said that sincere efforts to save the environment are the main need of the hour and if we do not take any step even now, then it will be too late.
On this occasion, Circle Officer Dayapreet Singh AEO gave information about the assistance being provided on various stubble management techniques and machines. He said that farmers who want to rent or take machinery on rent should use the Unnat Kisan app.
Meanwhile, School Principal Mrs. Ranjit Kaur thanked the agricultural officials for the accurate information given and said that everyone needs a clean environment and they will continue to provide all possible support for its maintenance. On this occasion, students who participated in the topic of environment and stubble management through speeches, poems, posters and songs were given certificates of appreciation and mementos. On this occasion, lecturer Rakesh Kumar played the role of stage director well. On this occasion, teacher Prabhjit Singh, Madam Satwant Kaur, Gursimran Singh Agriculture Deputy Inspector and field worker Gurlal Singh were present.
