Education Desk: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has begun the admission process for Undergraduate (UG) and Certificate of Proficiency (COP) courses for the academic session 2025–26. Interested and eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official admission portal jnuee.jnu.ac.in, where they can log in using their NTA application number and date of birth to complete the online application process. The last date to submit the application form is July 15, 2025. Candidates who have already submitted their applications will be allowed to make corrections in their application forms between July 16 and 17, 2025. The first merit list is expected to be released on July 23.
According to JNU’s e-prospectus, admissions to various UG programs will be based on relevant entrance examinations. Admission to the B.Tech program will be based on JEE Main scores, with seat allocation done through JoSAA or DASA schemes. For programs like BA (Hons) in Foreign Languages, B.Sc. Ayurveda Biology, and Certificate of Proficiency (COP), admissions will be based on scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2025, conducted by the NTA. Participation in CUET is mandatory for these courses.
Candidates selected in the first merit list will need to complete the pre-enrollment registration and fee payment process between July 23 and July 25, 2025. The pre-admission fee for UG programs is ₹313, while for COP courses it is ₹264. During this period, selected candidates must log in to the university portal, upload required documents, and complete payment and verification processes.
To apply, candidates should visit jnuee.jnu.ac.in, click on the “Candidate Login” section, and log in using their NTA application number and date of birth. After logging in, they should choose their desired course (UG or COP), fill in personal details such as name, address, mobile number, and email ID, and enter their educational qualifications (Class 10, Class 12, etc.). Applicants must also upload a passport-size photo, signature, and relevant mark sheets in the prescribed format. After verifying all the entered information, they must pay the pre-admission fee online and finally submit the application form.
