Punjab Desk: On the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Punjab Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains visited the Ram Mandir in Kiratpur Sahib and paid obeisance to Lord Shri Ram. He sought blessings at the temple and prayed for the well-being, peace, prosperity and welfare of the entire community.
The devotees present at the temple warmly welcomed the Cabinet Minister and shared the festive spirit of Janmashtami with him.
On the occasion, Harjot Singh Bains extended his heartfelt greetings to the devotees and residents of the area on Shri Krishna Janmashtami. He said that the life and teachings of Lord Shri Krishna inspire humanity to follow the path of truth, righteousness and goodness and remain committed to one’s duties.
Bains emphasized that all religious festivals should be celebrated with mutual brotherhood, love and harmony. He said that such sacred occasions strengthen the spirit of unity and remind people of the importance of serving humanity.
The Cabinet Minister said that Shri Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated across the country with great devotion and enthusiasm to commemorate the birth of Lord Shri Krishna. He added that the teachings of Lord Krishna remain highly relevant and inspirational in human life even today.
He appealed to the devotees to incorporate the message of Janmashtami into their daily lives and contribute towards strengthening peace, harmony, brotherhood and mutual understanding in society.
During his prayers, Bains wished that Lord Shri Krishna bless everyone with happiness, peace and prosperity and bring well-being to every family. He said that people belonging to different religions and communities in Punjab have always celebrated festivals together, and this spirit of communal harmony remains one of the state’s beautiful traditions.
Extending his greetings once again, Harjot Singh Bains prayed for the welfare of all and the continued prosperity and happiness of Punjab.
