18 July 2025 FACT RECORDER

Haryana Desk: In a shocking incident, 43-year-old Jitendra alias Ballu was murdered by unidentified assailants in Bagdu Khurd village under the Safidon area of Jind. Jitendra had been missing since Tuesday evening, and his body was found on Wednesday morning behind the local Shiva temple, covered in blood with brick marks on his head and face. Police conducted a postmortem and handed over the body to the family, registering a murder case under IPC Section 302.

Jitendra’s son, Jatin, revealed that his father had been farming on a one-acre plot near the temple’s pond for the past two years and had also built an animal shelter there. On Tuesday evening, Jitendra left home but did not return. When Jatin called him, he assured he would return soon, but later his phone was found switched off. Family members searched the area and discovered his blood-soaked body near the temple.

Safidon SHO Sunil Kumar stated that the postmortem confirmed the death, with preliminary investigations suggesting the attackers used bricks to assault Jitendra. Police are examining CCTV footage and questioning suspects to solve the case. Further investigations are underway.
