Punjab Desk: As per the directions given by the Director General of Police, Punjab and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Border Range, Amrits under the “War on Drugs” campaign announced by the Chief Minister, Punjab, Gifty Masih was arrested at Police Station City Gurdaspur and 06 grams of heroin was recovered from him. A case under Section 21-61-85 of the NDPS Act was registered against the accused at Police Station City Gurdaspur.
Mr. Aditya, Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur appealed to the residents to inform the police about the persons involved in illegal/drug business. Strict legal action will be taken against the persons involved in illegal/drug business. District Gurdaspur Police is fully committed to root out the drug business and control the bad elements.
