Punjab Desk: Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Barnala and President of District Red Cross Society Mr. T. Benith, the District Red Cross Society Barnala distributed nutrition kits to 20 patients as part of the “TB Mukt Barnala” campaign.
Providing details, Dr. Teavaspreet Kaur, Secretary of the District Red Cross Society and District Social Security Officer, informed that the Indian Red Cross Society, with the support of Trident Group and IOL Pharmaceutical Ltd., is distributing nutrition kits to TB patients. She mentioned that these kits are provided every month to ensure that patients do not face a lack of nutritious food and can recover quickly.
She further added that under the Nikshay Mitra Scheme, assistance is being sought from social service organizations and donors for these kits. Anyone from the district wishing to contribute towards these kits can contact Dr. Monika Bansal, TB Control Officer, at Civil Hospital Barnala.
