Punjab Desk: To give Batala city a distinctive and beautiful appearance, the city has been decorated with attractive lights in the colours of the national tricolour. Speaking about this, Executive Engineer Rohit Uppal said that these beautiful lights have been installed in view of the Baba Ji’s wedding anniversary celebrations and Independence Day events.
He mentioned that under the guidance of Shri Amansher Singh Sherry Kalsi, Working President and MLA of Batala, Shri Dalvinderjit Singh, Deputy Commissioner Gurdaspur, and Shri Vikramjit Singh Panthe, SDM-cum-Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Batala, continuous efforts are being made to keep the city clean while also enhancing its beauty with these decorative lights.
He further informed that tricolour-themed lights have been installed on City Road Batala, Jalandhar Road, and various other parts of the city, which has significantly enhanced its beauty. In addition, development work is continuously underway with a focus on cleanliness, and with everyone’s cooperation, no effort will be spared to keep Batala city clean and beautiful.
He added that preparations for the wedding anniversary celebrations have already been initiated by the corporation along with various departments so that visitors from across the country and abroad do not face any inconvenience.
