Punjab Desk: On August 14, a Tiranga Yatra will be held from Fazilka to Sadqi Check Post. Sharing this information, Fazilka MLA Narinder Pal Singh Sawna said that on the same day, after the Yatra, the 200-foot-high national flag installed at Sadqi Check Post will also be inaugurated.

MLA Narinder Pal Singh Sawna said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government has installed a 200-foot-high Tiranga at Sadqi Check Post. He mentioned that earlier, the flag on the Pakistan side at Sadqi Border was taller, but now, with the Punjab Government’s initiative, an even taller Indian flag has been installed. It is noteworthy that the foundation stone for this project was laid by MLA Sawna on Republic Day, and on August 14, he will inaugurate it and dedicate this important gift to the nation.

The MLA extended a heartfelt invitation to all Fazilka residents to join the Tiranga Yatra, announcing that it will start at 9 a.m. on August 14, 2025, from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Fazilka. Passing through the bazaars of Fazilka, the Yatra will reach the Sadqi border check post. He added that people from all over the Fazilka district will participate. This Yatra will not only inspire the younger generation with patriotism on the eve of Independence Day but will also symbolize the unity of all Indians.

It is worth mentioning that a retreat ceremony is held every evening at Sadqi Check Post, which attracts a large number of visitors daily. With the installation of the 200-foot-high Tiranga, the place will become even more memorable for those who come to witness it.
