Tarn Taran, 07 August 2025 Fact Recorder

Punjab Desk: Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Tarn Taran, Mr. Rajdeep Singh Brar, has appealed to the residents of Tarn Taran, Bhikhiwind, Patti, and Khemkaran towns to take advantage of the Punjab Government’s One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme for pending property/house tax payments.

Under this scheme, individuals, institutions, shopkeepers, factory owners, restaurants, etc., who have not yet deposited their property tax or outstanding house tax, can clear their dues without any interest or penalty.

Earlier, the last date to benefit from this scheme was July 31, 2025, but the Punjab Government has extended the deadline to August 15, 2025, allowing citizens to deposit their pending taxes interest-free by that date.

To facilitate the public, the Property Tax Branches of the Municipal Councils of Tarn Taran, Patti, Bhikhiwind, and Khemkaran will remain open on Saturday and Sunday, August 9 and 10, 2025, just like regular working days. The scheme will remain in effect until August 15, 2025, and even in the case of a public holiday on this date, the Property Tax Branches will remain open to accept payments.

Residents are encouraged to make full use of this opportunity and settle their property tax dues in time.
