Office of District Public Relations Officer, Batala Appeal to the Public to Support the Fight Against Drugs
Punjab Desk: Under the leadership of Shri Dalwinderjit Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Gurdaspur, a campaign titled ‘War Against Drugs’ is being conducted across the district. As part of this initiative, and under the guidance of the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Batala, an awareness camp was organized at the Batala Bus Stand.
During this event, the anti-drug team of the Municipal Corporation Batala explained in detail the harmful effects of drugs and the diseases caused by drug addiction. The public was also made aware of the WhatsApp number issued by the Chief Minister of Punjab – 9779-100-200 – on which they can send information related to drug complaints. The identity of the informant will be kept confidential.
It was informed that under this campaign, the next awareness camp will be held on June 9 at Leak Wala Talab, Batala. People were urged to actively participate in this campaign and support the government in its fight against drugs.
