MLA Fazilka visits Wards No. 19 and 22, listens to public grievances
Strict instructions given to concerned officials for immediate resolution
Residents made aware under anti-drug campaign
The Drug-Free Yatra initiated by the Punjab Government is now reaching the urban wards after covering villages. Fazilka MLA Mr. Narinderpal Singh Sawna visited Wards No. 19 and 22 in Fazilka, where he interacted with local residents and listened to their concerns. He also raised awareness among the public about the government’s ongoing campaign against drugs.
After hearing public grievances, Mr. Sawna issued strict directions to officials of the concerned departments to ensure immediate resolution of the issues raised by the people.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Narinderpal Singh Sawna emphasized that if citizens face any problems, they should feel free to inform him so that appropriate solutions can be provided.
He stated that just as the government stands with the people, citizens should also support the government’s anti-drug campaign. He affirmed that the government is fully capable of taking action against drug traffickers, but public cooperation is essential.
Addressing the gathering at Ward No. 22, Madam Khushboo Sawna said that in order to eliminate drugs, people should share relevant information with the police and administration, so that the youth of the state can be saved. She assured that the identity of informants will be kept confidential and no names will be disclosed.
