Punjab Desk: Punjab Cabinet Minister Mr. Barinder Kumar Goyal has said that the most important contribution in the development of any country or region is that of the young generation. The youth can make this contribution only if they are physically and mentally healthy by avoiding drugs. Sports are the best option to completely defeat drugs in the state. He expressed these views while interacting with the people today on the occasion of laying the foundation stone of sports stadiums in 13 villages of Halka Lehra.
He said that under the campaign against drugs, continuous efforts are being made under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to connect the youth with sports by keeping them away from drugs. Similarly, efforts are also being made to save the youth of Lehra constituency. He said that under this link, 40 sports stadiums are being built in Lehra constituency. Out of which the foundation stones of 28 sports stadiums have been laid so far. The foundation stones of the remaining sports stadiums will also be laid soon.
He said that today the work of sports stadiums has been started in villages Lehal Khurd, Lehal Kalan, Deg Bahadur, Bhutal Khurd, Bhutal Kalan, Raidharna, Jhalur, Kalbanjara, Khandebad, Ghodenab, Bhai Ki Pishore, Sekhuwas and Ramgarh Sandhuan. The aim is to make these sports stadiums operational as soon as possible. These stadiums will have athletic tracks, basketball, volleyball grounds as well as good grass,
Fountains, toilets, lights and benches will be installed. They will be decorated with beautiful flowers and plants. This sports stadium will attract the youth and people of all ages. On this occasion, PA Shri Rakesh Kumar Gupta and a large number of people were present.
