Punjab Desk: As part of an educational tour, 60 students from PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School, Kaler Kalan, along with vocational trainers Arun Gupta and Karamjeet Singh, visited the local fire station. They were briefed and made aware by Station Incharge Neeraj Sharma, Fire Officer Rakesh Sharma, and Harbhaksh Singh from Civil Defence and the fire-fighting team.
On this occasion, after a brief introduction to the fire station, the students were informed about the emergency control room numbers 91157 96801 and 112. It was emphasized that when reporting a fire emergency, the caller must provide the exact and complete address.
Following this, the students were given information about the fire tender, including various tools and equipment used during emergencies. They were advised that whenever they hear a fire brigade siren, all vehicles on the road must give way.
At the fire station, students were also educated about different techniques used for extinguishing fires. Demonstrations were provided about the water hoses used to fight fires, and the students were encouraged to consider a career as firefighters.
