Punjab Desk: Under the guidance of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann , Education and Languages Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains and as per the directions of Director, Language Department, Punjab S. Jaswant Singh Zafar, District Language Office Barnala organized district level written quiz competitions for students of schools and colleges at Government Senior Secondary School of Eminence Barnala.
Binder Singh Khudi Kalan Research Officer informed that students from schools and colleges of the district participated enthusiastically in the quiz competitions organized with the support of District Education Officer (DEO) Sunitinder Singh and Deputy District Education Officer (DEO) Barjinderpal Singh and under the arrangements of Principal Harish Bansal of Government Senior Secondary School of Eminence Barnala. The Language Officer said that the competitions were held in three categories. In the first category , students up to class VIII participated, in the second category , students from class IX to XII participated and in the third category, students of graduation level of colleges participated. He said that the students who stood first , second and third in each category were honored with cash and certificates by the Language Department. The students who secured the first position in each category will participate in the state-level quiz competition .
In the first category, Khushpreet Kaur, a student of Government Senior Secondary School, Chhapa, secured the first position , Sukhwinder Kaur, a student of Government Senior Secondary School, Chhapa, secured the second position and Ranveer Singh, a student of Government Senior Secondary School, Tallewal, secured the third position. In the second category, Guneet Sharma, a student of Government High School, Daraj, secured the first position , Hardeep Kaur, a student of Government Senior Secondary School, Bhaini Mehraj, secured the second position and Harwinder Kaur, a student of Government Senior Secondary School, Chhapa, secured the third position, while in the third category, Sukhman Sharma, a student of S.D. College secured the first position , Arshdeep Singh, a student of SD. College secured the second position and Jashanpreet Kaur, a student of SSD. College secured the third position.
Lakhvir Singh Lecturer , Baljinder Singh , Pargat Singh , Manpreet Kaur , Harjit Singh , Ratandeep Singh , Bikramjit Singh , Sukhpinder Kaur , Kuldeep Rani , Harpreet Kaur and Balvir Kaur were responsible for conducting the competitions. On this occasion, the staff of the District Language Office including Sandeep Kaur , Gurpreet Kaur and Gobind Singh along with the parents of the students were also present. The teachers who were given the duty to conduct the quiz competition and the guide teachers of the students were honored with departmental books by the District Language Office.
