Punjab Desk: SDM Jalalabad, Shri Kanwarjit Singh Mann, along with officials of the National Highway Authority and Jalalabad Municipal Council, visited the new bus stand area on Fazilka-Ferozepur Road near the BSF camp. During the inspection, he directed officials to take immediate steps for repairing the damaged road.
The SDM said that due to continuous heavy rains, deep potholes have developed on the road, which could potentially lead to mishaps. To prevent any untoward incident, he emphasized that urgent and necessary measures must be implemented. He instructed the National Highway and Municipal Council officials to fill the potholes at the earliest and ensure proper road repairs.
Highlighting the importance of road safety, the SDM stated that smooth and well-maintained roads are essential for safeguarding lives and ensuring hassle-free travel. He urged officials to complete the repair work quickly so that commuters do not face inconvenience.
Municipal Council Executive Officer Balwinder Singh, officials from the National Highway Authority, and other staff members were also present during the inspection.
