Rakhi Sawant, a Bollywood actress known for her bold personality, has expressed interest in tying the knot for a third time, revealing she has received promising marriage proposals from Pakistan. In a recent interview with ETimes, she discussed her admiration for cross-border unions, citing the potential to foster harmony between India and Pakistan.
Sawant revealed she is considering a proposal from Dodi Khan, a Pakistani actor and police officer. Speaking about her experience, she shared, “When I visited Pakistan, people saw how I was harassed in my previous marriages. I will definitely select one prospect.” She also added that many Pakistani fans sympathized with her past struggles and admired her resilience.
Wedding and future plans
Rakhi outlined her plans for a wedding in Pakistan conducted under Islamic rituals, with a reception in India. The couple would then head to Switzerland or the Netherlands for their honeymoon and settle in Dubai.
Sawant emphasized, “Indians and Pakistanis can’t do without each other. I love Pakistani people and have many fans there,” highlighting the importance of peace and understanding between the two nations.
Past marriages
This would be Rakhi’s third marriage. Her previous relationships were tumultuous, including her recent marriage to Adil Khan Durrani, which ended in 2023 amid allegations of infidelity and domestic harassment. Durrani was arrested following the accusations and served five months in jail.
Before this, she was married to Ritesh Raj Singh, whom she appeared with on Bigg Boss 15. The couple separated shortly after the show’s conclusion in February 2022, with Rakhi citing irreconcilable differences.
Sawant hopes her next chapter will transcend borders and promote unity, saying, “Marriages like these symbolize peace and togetherness between countries.”
