Jalalabad MLA Holds Anti-Drug Rallies in Villages Kuhaṛiāṁwālī and Mammu Khera, Urges People to Join the Fight Against Drugs

punjab Desk: The Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has resolved to eliminate drug abuse to save the youth of the state from this menace and to make Punjab vibrant and healthy once again. Expressing these sentiments, Jalalabad MLA Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy, as part of the anti-drug campaign, held drug-free marches in the villages of Kuhaṛiāṁwālī and Mammu Khera Khāṭwāṁ, urging the local people to unite and support the government in this crucial fight against drugs.

MLA Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy stated that he had come to seek the cooperation of the villagers in this battle so that together they can make the government’s campaign successful and free their state from this deadly poison. Encouraging the locals, he said it is the duty of the people to share information about drug traffickers, while the government will take necessary action — and only then will drugs be eradicated.

He further added that another important aspect of the anti-drug campaign is to provide information about any youth who falls victim to drugs so that they can receive treatment at health centers, be reintegrated into society, and lead a normal life again.

During the event, the villagers also took a pledge to stand united against drug abuse. He emphasized that drugs can only be eliminated with the cooperation of everyone.

Earlier, MLA Goldy inaugurated the Thapar Model and Kitchen Shed in Kuhaṛiāṁwālī village. He also stated that the Punjab government is continuously implementing development projects for the progress of the village.
