Punjab Desk: District Treasury Officer Sangrur Pardeep Kumar said that a Pensioner Sewa Mela is being organized on November 13, 14 and 15 at the District Treasury Office, Sangrur to conduct e-KYC of 14,000 retired pensioners and family pensioners of the district.
He said that the Punjab government has launched the ‘Pensioner Service Portal’ to streamline pension services for employees who have retired from government service. To take full advantage of this service, it is necessary for the pensioner to have e-KYC. Therefore, special camps are being organized to conduct e-KYC of the pensioners so that they can take full advantage of the service started by the Punjab government for pensioners and family pensioners.
He said that pensioners attending the camp must bring a copy of their PPO/PPO number, Aadhaar card, bank account details and mobile number linked to Aadhaar card.
Pardeep Kumar said that six main services are being provided to pensioners in the Pensioner Seva Portal, which include submitting digital life certificate through ‘Jeevan Praman’ mobile app, applying for conversion of pension into family pension through the successor module, applying for Leave Travel Concession (LTC), registering pension-related complaints through the grievance redressal module, and updating/changing the personal details of the pensioner through the profile updation module. He said that to avail these services, pensioners and family pensioners can avail the above services by getting their e-KYC done at the Pensioner Seva Mela to be held from 13th to 15th November and avail the benefits of the said services from home.
