Punjab Desk: A large number of retired employees took advantage of the Pensioner Sewa Mela being held at the District Treasury Office, Sangrur on the second day today. On this occasion, Additional Director Treasury and Accounts, Punjab Mrs. Simarjit Kaur specially visited the Mela and reviewed the Pensioner Sewa Mela and interacted with the pensioners who had come to get their e-KYC done. On this occasion, DCFA Praveen Gupta and District Treasury Officer Pradeep Kumar were also present.
Additional Director Treasury and Accounts Mrs. Simarjit Kaur said that on the instructions of the Punjab Government, Pensioner Sewa Melas are being organized across the state from 13th to 15th November. She said that the registration of pensioners of the state on the newly launched Pensioner Sewa Portal will be completed within three months.
He said that officials of the Finance Department and pension disbursing banks are present at the Pensioner Seva Mela to resolve any technical problem on the spot. He said that pension disbursal will continue uninterruptedly while the registration process is completed and the pensioners will not face any problem due to delay in the registration process. He appealed to the pensioners to get e-KYC done to get better services.
On this occasion, District Treasury Officer Mr. Pradeep Kumar said that a large number of retired employees have taken advantage of the fair on November 13 and 14 and this fair will continue on November 15 at the District Treasury Office.
