Seven Family Members Found D*ead in Parked Car in Panchkula; S*uicide Suspected
In a tragic incident, seven members of a family from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, were found d*ead inside a parked car outside a residence in Sector 27, Panchkula, during the night between May 26 and 27. Initial investigations suggest the family may have died by s*uicide after allegedly consuming poison.
The deceased have been identified as 42-year-old Praveen Mittal, his parents, wife, two daughters, and a son. Police sources indicate that financial distress might have been a driving factor behind the incident.
A handwritten note, believed to be from the family, was recovered from inside the vehicle, though its contents have not yet been disclosed by authorities. The car was found locked from the inside, and all seven b*odies were discovered together when officials arrived.
Senior police personnel, including DCP Himadri Kaushik and DCP Amit Dahiya, reached the scene shortly after receiving the report. A forensic team was also deployed to examine the vehicle and gather evidence.
“The vehicle and the surrounding area are being carefully examined. While it appears to be a case of suicide, the investigation is still ongoing to determine the exact cause and sequence of events,” said DCP Kaushik.
The b*odies have been moved to the mortuary at the Civil Hospital in Sector 6 for post-mortem. Police continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the tragic d*eaths.
