The farmer who brought wheat from Madhya Pradesh to the market did not bring this crop to sell in the market – Secretary Market Committee
Fazilka, April 4
The farmer who brought wheat from Madhya Pradesh to the grain market in Fazilka did not bring this crop to sell in the market. This information has been given by Secretary Market Committee Fazilka Mr. Mandeep Raheja.
The Secretary said that farmer Prasottam Kumar of village Salemshah has land in Fazilka as well as Madhya Pradesh and he has brought this wheat for his needs. He said that according to the information given by the farmer to the market committee, he had not brought this wheat to the market to sell it to the government at MSP, but due to lack of space at his house, he had dumped this wheat in the market for drying and cleaning and he is not going to sell it in government procurement, because if he had to sell it through government procurement, he could have sold it in Madhya Pradesh only because the MSP is the same in all the states. Commenting on the news published in this regard, he clarified that wheat coming from other states will not be allowed to be sold in government procurement. He appealed to the farmers to harvest only the dried crop and bring the dried crop to the market along with it so that the government can purchase their crop as per the rules.
