Punjab Desk: MLA of Ferozepur City Mr. Ranbir Singh Bhullar and MLA of Ferozepur Rural Mr. Rajneesh Dahiya today laid the foundation stone for the periodic renewal (PR) work of the Ferozepur–Zira road (State Highway-20), which spans a total length of 34.555 kilometers and is being undertaken at a cost of ₹2214.91 lakh.

On this occasion, MLA Mr. Ranbir Singh Bhullar said that, along with providing other basic amenities, the Punjab government prioritizes offering better and safer transportation facilities to the people. He stated that under the able leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Punjab Mr. Bhagwant Singh Mann, and with the guidance of Cabinet Minister for Power and Public Works Department Mr. Harbhajan Singh ETO, the foundation stone of this road project has been laid under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment Scheme 2024–25.

The MLA further mentioned that this road connects Ferozepur to Zira, and once renewed, it will ease public travel and improve the overall traffic flow in the area.

On this occasion, MLA Mr. Rajneesh Dahiya said that the Aam Aadmi Party government is rapidly advancing development works across the state and is taking concrete steps to fulfill every promise made to the public. He added that the government is fully committed to the development of basic infrastructure such as roads, drainage, and sewerage systems, along with progress in education and healthcare institutions. The MLA assured that the pace of development in the region will be maintained in the future as well and every possible facility will be provided to the public.

Present at the occasion were SDM Gurmeet Singh, Raj Bahadur Singh, Balraj Singh Katora, Himanshu Thakkar, Rajneesh Sharma, Harmeet Singh Khai, Sarpanch Dilbag Singh, Sarpanch Nishan Singh, Praveen Mangal, Ajay Latawa, Gurbhej Singh, Manjeet Singh Nikku, Sarpanch Sukhwinder Singh, Sarpanch Dalbir Singh, Deepak Narang, and several other dignitaries.
