Appeal made to keep firecrackers to a minimum to avoid noise and air pollution

Punjab Desk: MLA Jaito S. Amolak Singh greeted the people of the constituency on Diwali and Bandi Chhor Diwas and said that crackers should be burst as little as possible during Diwali and a green Diwali should be celebrated.
He called upon the people to celebrate a green Diwali and appealed that instead of bursting crackers to avoid noise and environmental pollution, the holy festival of Diwali should be celebrated by planting trees and doing other constructive work so that an atmosphere of mutual harmony and happiness can be created.
He said that the poisonous gases and smoke emitted from firecrackers cause various types of terrible diseases for all of us. Apart from this, patients suffering from diseases have difficulty in breathing. He said that efforts should be made to celebrate this Diwali in a clean and hygienic manner and by greeting each other together with the people, mutual brotherhood should be maintained.
