Punjab Desk: MLA of Jalalabad, Mr. Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy, along with SDM Kanwarjit Singh Mann, reached the Dana Mandi and initiated the government procurement of paddy. On this occasion, they assured that farmers would not face any kind of problem in the procurement centres. They emphasized that the Punjab Government will ensure the purchase of every single grain of the farmers’ crop and no farmer will face any inconvenience.
MLA Goldy stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to purchasing the farmers’ produce promptly and making the payment within 48 hours. He also instructed the officials of the procurement agencies and the Market Committee to ensure that no farmer, commission agent (Aarhtiya), or labourer working in the mandi faces any difficulty during the procurement process.
SDM Kanwarjit Singh Mann added that proper arrangements have been made in the mandis for drinking water, shade, and lighting facilities for the farmers. He appealed to the farmers to bring only dry paddy to the mandis so that they do not face any issues and unnecessary crowding can also be avoided. He assured that farmers will not face any trouble at the procurement centres.
On this occasion, Market Committee Secretary Saurav Kumar, Market Committee Chairman Devaraj Sharma, and other officials were also present.
