Punjab Desk: While the district administration is making farmers aware not to burn stubble, it is also appealing to them to make maximum use of agricultural machinery for stubble management.
EDO Jobanjit Singh said that under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Gurdaspur, farmers are being made aware of the use of agricultural machinery provided by the Punjab Government on subsidy. Today, he held a meeting with the nodal officers of Qadian block regarding ‘ Unnat Kisan App ‘ with the farmers.
He further said that machinery like baler , super seeder , chopper , super SMS and happy seeder are available for stubble management and farmers should make maximum use of it and dispose of stubble using in situ and ex situ techniques. He said that farmers should use the ‘ Unnat Kisan ‘ app developed by the Punjab government for booking the machinery .
He said that the CRM machines of the district have been mapped on the ‘ Unnat Kisan ‘ app and farmers can easily book the machines available near them through this mobile application. He said that nodal officers and village level officers have been deployed to assist farmers in the booking process of machines.
