Punjab Desk: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sri Muktsar Sahib, Mrs. Baljeet Kaur, to discuss the preparations for the district-level Independence Day celebration to be held on 15 August 2025. During the meeting, she instructed officials of all departments to perform their assigned duties with honesty and dedication.
The SDM stated that, like every year, this year as well, the Independence Day will be celebrated with full devotion and enthusiasm at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Sri Muktsar Sahib. She directed the police department officials to plan traffic routes in advance and identify parking areas to ensure there is no traffic congestion during the event. She also instructed the electricity board officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply on the day and to tighten any loose electric wires beforehand.
The Municipal Council department was advised to ensure complete cleanliness throughout the city.
Additionally, she directed officials from various departments including Education, Health, District Mandi Board, Sports, Water Supply, and Food Supply to make all necessary arrangements to ensure the success of the district-level program.
Present on the occasion were District Welfare Officer Mr. Jagmohan Singh Mann, Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Karanjeet Singh Gill, District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Kultar Singh, District Sports Officer Mrs. Anindarveer Kaur Brar, along with representatives and officers from various other departments.
