Punjab Desk: On the proper management of paddy straw, Krishi Vigyan Kendra of Punjab Agricultural University , Sri Muktsar Sahib A district level awareness camp was organized at Krishi Vigyan Kendra , in which a large number of knowledgeable farmers from various villages of Muktsar block participated .
In this camp, Dr. Jagsir Singh Chief Agricultural Officer Attended as a special guest . Dr. Karanjit Singh P. D. Atma also attended this camp . Dr. Karamjit Sharma Associate Director ( Training ) K. V. K. welcomed the guests and farmers present at the camp . He also mentioned the various activities being carried out by K. V. K. for the management of stubble .
During this camp, Dr. Manjit Kaur Assistant Professor ( Earth Science ) made the farmers aware about the harmful effects of stubble burning and the benefits of proper stubble management . Dr. Vivek Kumar Assistant Professor ( Crop Science ) shared detailed information about successful cultivation of wheat in stubble fields . He also informed about the various machines recommended by the university for stubble management and the machinery bank facility available in the K. V. K.
Dr. Jagsir Singh Chief Agricultural Officer Encouraged farmers for proper stubble management . Dr. Karanjit Singh P. D. Atma gave information about various schemes and facilities being implemented for farmers .

The farmer veterans who attended the camp asked questions regarding stubble management and other agricultural issues, and the experts answered those questions on the spot .
