Health Department takes oath on ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’

Tarn Taran, January 23rd, Civil Surgeon of Tarn Taran District Dr. Gurpreet Singh Rai presided over awareness activities related to the program on completion of 10 years of Beti Bachao Beti Baano Program by the officers and employees of the Health Department on Wednesday. On this occasion, Civil Surgeon Dr. Rai also took oath of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao to the health workers.

On this occasion, Civil Surgeon Dr. Aaye said that exactly 10 years ago today, the Department of Health and Family Welfare had launched the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, the main objective of which was to stop feticide and provide education to girls without any discrimination.

He said that instructions have been issued to spread maximum awareness about the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao program in various blocks of Tarn Taran district through health centers, health and wellness centers and Aam Aadmi clinics. Dr. Rai said that in today’s era, our society is completely incomplete without the contribution of daughters. He said that our daughters have set an example in every field today.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Rai said that every section of the society should contribute in the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao program so that our daughters can live their lives without any discrimination. He said that we should give full support to our daughters to make their dreams come true.
