Haryana Government to Launch FACE App, Benefiting Over 3.6 Million Citizens

Haryana Desk: Haryana Government to Launch Face Recognition-Based App for Pensioners and Social Security Beneficiaries                                                                The Haryana government is set to launch a face recognition-based mobile application aimed at helping pensioners and beneficiaries of various social security schemes across the state. Through this app, users will be able to digitally submit their Life Certificate (Jeevan Pramaan) from the comfort of their homes. The app is currently in its final testing phase.

According to the government’s plan, the app will initially be launched as a pilot project in the districts of Panchkula and Ambala in August 2025. Upon successful implementation, it will be rolled out across the remaining 20 districts of Haryana. Once fully implemented, the app is expected to directly benefit over 3.6 million beneficiaries.

Current Status of Pension Beneficiaries in Haryana

As per official data, 21.96 lakh senior citizens are currently receiving the Old Age Samman Allowance in Haryana. Additionally, 8.88 lakh widows and 2.09 lakh persons with disabilities are benefiting from various pension schemes. The initiative also extends support to individuals with dwarfism, members of the transgender community, orphaned children, and patients suffering from rare diseases.

This digital initiative is expected to simplify the certification process and ensure timely disbursal of benefits, while also reducing the need for physical visits to government offices.
