Gurmel Singh Madoke assumed the role of Chairman of Ajitwal Market Committee and Paramjit Singh Butter took charge as Chairman of Badheni Kalan Market Committee today. Deputy Speaker of Punjab Legislative Assembly Shri Jai Krishan Rouri, Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian, and Chairman of Punjab Mandi Board Harchand Singh Barsat were specially present at the oath-taking ceremony and extended their congratulations.

Deputy Speaker Shri Jai Krishan Rouri stated that the Aam Aadmi Party is committed to giving its workers the respect and recognition they deserve. He expressed confidence that the newly appointed Chairmen, Shri Gurmel Singh Madoke (Ajitwal) and Shri Paramjit Singh Butter (Badheni Kalan), will fulfill their duties with dedication and honesty, prioritizing the resolution of problems faced by commission agents, farmers, and laborers through mutual cooperation.

On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian emphasized that the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party, Shri Arvind Kejriwal, and Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann have issued clear directives that corruption will not be tolerated at any level—within the party or government. He said that eliminating corruption and drugs from the roots is the party’s top agenda. He added that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is working tirelessly to combat drugs.

He also highlighted that to prevent stubble burning, the Agriculture Department is consistently providing modern equipment to farmers at subsidized rates. Due to the Aam Aadmi Party’s efforts, canal water is now being widely used in agriculture across Punjab. The government has spent crores of rupees on the cleaning of canals and watercourses to reduce the use of groundwater and promote canal water conservation.
