Grain Market Shed, New Anganwadi and ₹5 Lakh Grant Announced for Village Development

Punjab Desk: Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains today fulfilled several development commitments in village Hazipur by inaugurating key public facilities and announcing financial support for further development works. During his visit, Bains dedicated a newly constructed shed in the local grain market to facilitate farmers, ensuring protection for their produce and providing them with a more convenient space during procurement seasons. He also inaugurated a new Anganwadi centre in the village aimed at strengthening child care, nutrition services and early childhood education for local families.

On the occasion, Bains also distributed a grant of ₹5 lakh to the village panchayat for basic development works. Addressing the gathering, he said that the Punjab Government is committed to improving rural infrastructure and ensuring that villages receive the facilities they deserve. Residents of Hazipur warmly appreciated the efforts of the minister, especially acknowledging his active role during the crucial days of floods when he worked continuously to ensure protection measures and relief support for affected areas.

Speaking to the villagers, Bains reiterated that development of every village remains a top priority and assured that all promises and commitments made to the people will be completed. He emphasized that projects related to infrastructure, education, flood protection and public welfare are being implemented with full dedication. Villagers expressed satisfaction over the pace of development works and thanked Bains for consistently standing with them during difficult times and ensuring that Hazipur continues to move forward on the path of progress.
