Haryana Desk: One Dead, One Injured in Jind Firing Incident Linked to Gangwar In a suspected gangwar incident in Jind, Haryana, one youth was shot dead while another sustained injuries. The firing occurred late at night near the Rohtak border. Two young men on a motorcycle were ambushed and shot at by unidentified assailants riding two separate bikes. Over 15 rounds were reportedly fired.
The deceased has been identified as Rishi Lohan, a resident of Rajpura Bhain village in Jind. He had 12 criminal cases against him, including charges of murder, extortion, kidnapping, and violations of the Arms Act. The injured youth, Manish, is also from the same village and is currently undergoing treatment at PGI Rohtak.
According to reports, Rishi and Manish were traveling from Jind toward Rohtak around 9 PM. As they crossed Julana and approached a petrol pump near Pauli, they were intercepted by four attackers on two bikes who opened fire on them. Rishi fell off the bike after being hit, while Manish attempted to flee but was also shot. The attackers then fled toward Rohtak.
Police suspect the incident is linked to ongoing gang rivalries in the region. An investigation is underway.
