Punjab Desk: Keeping the interests of farmers in mind, the Punjab government has restarted the fertilizer rail rack at Faridkot Railway Station after nearly 20 years. The rack was inaugurated by Faridkot MLA Mr. Gurditt Singh Sekhon.

In his address, MLA Mr. Gurditt Singh Sekhon stated that previously, societies and commission agents had to bring fertilizer from Kotkapura, Muktsar, and Firozpur, which not only caused additional expenses but also wasted a lot of time. Now, with the fertilizer rack available at Faridkot Railway Station, fertilizers will be directly unloaded here, ensuring a continuous supply of fertilizer for agriculture.

MLA Mr. Gurditt Singh Sekhon mentioned that around 35,000 fertilizer bags arrived in the rack today, and soon a D.A.P. fertilizer rack will also be set up in Faridkot. He assured that fertilizer availability will be guaranteed throughout the district, and farmers will not face any shortages. He further added that full arrangements have been made for labor to unload the rack, and complete coordination has been established among the railway department, fertilizer department, commission agents, and dealers. He said this initiative by the Punjab government is another major step among many efforts being made for the welfare of farmers, which will strengthen the agricultural sector.

At the event, fertilizer sellers, commission agents, and dealers of Faridkot thanked the Punjab government and MLA Mr. Gurditt Singh Sekhon for this initiative.

Present at the occasion were Chairman Market Committee Faridkot Mr. Amandeep Singh Baba, Mr. Amarjit Singh Parmar, Jagjit Jaggi, Satnam Singh, Pargat Singh Sadik, Babbu Ahuja, Ashwani Bansal, Manoj Jindal, and Ashu Agarwal.
