Punjab Desk:  Under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Tarn Tarn Mr. Rahul, IAS, a meeting was held with the Block Nodal Incharge, Cluster Officers and SHO Goindwal Sahib, Vairowal and Chohla Sahib under the leadership of SDM Khadoor Sahib Mr. Khushpreet Singh to prevent burning of paddy stubble. On this occasion, he instructed the officers to go to the villages and make the farmers aware about not burning paddy stubble.

SDM Khadoor Sahib Shri Khushpreet Singh also appealed to the farmers that by burning crop residues, many microorganisms, insects, birds etc., which are mostly friends of the soil and crops, which have settled in the upper layer of the earth and vegetation, become extinct. Due to which the fertility of the land decreases, along with the decrease in friendly organisms, there is an immense increase in enemy insects, which are controlled by the use of pesticides. Thus, the excessive use of these poisons later has a very bad effect on human health.

On this occasion, Cluster Officer Dr. Yadvinder Singh appealed to the farmers that it is the need of the hour that we all work together to protect our environment from pollution. Whether this pollution is caused by burning crop residues during agricultural work or by using unnecessary fireworks during festivals. He said that farmers can rent machinery using the advanced farmer app for stubble management.

On this occasion, Tehsildar Khadoor Sahib Mrs. Seema Sharma, Naib Tehsildar Mr. Navjot Tiwari, Superintendent Mr. Anil Kumar, Block Nodal Incharge Sahib Dr. Navtej Singh, Block Model Incharge Chohla Sahib Dr. Amardeep Singh and all the cluster officers of Block Khadoor Sahib were present.
