Punjab Desk: Punjab Education Minister and MLA from Sri Anandpur Sahib, S. Harjot Singh Bains, extended heartfelt greetings to the entire community on the birth anniversary of the great saint-warrior Baba Jeevan Singh Ji (Bhai Jaita Ji). He said that Bhai Jaita Ji was a devoted servant of the Tenth Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who carried the sacred head of the Ninth Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji—known as the protector of “Hind di Chadar”—from Chandni Chowk in Delhi to Sri Anandpur Sahib. On the occasion of Teacher’s Day today, September 5, the Education Minister conveyed his best wishes to the entire education fraternity, including teachers, pensioners, mid-day meal workers, and colleagues serving in various positions in the Education Department. He said that Punjab has secured the first position in the field of education across the country. This achievement, he added, belongs to the dedicated colleagues working in the Education Department, who are the true heroes.
The Minister further stated that keeping in view the present circumstances in Punjab, the state-level function to mark Teacher’s Day has been postponed. He also extended greetings to the entire congregation on the occasion of Sri Guru Ramdas Ji’s Gurta Gaddi Diwas.
