District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Dr. Pallavi has issued orders banning the flying of any kind of drone within the limits of Malerkotla district . The District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner , exercising the powers vested in him under Section 163 of the Indian National Security Act ( B.N.S.S. ) , 2023 , has imposed a complete ban on flying any kind of unmanned aerial vehicle or drone , remote controlled aircraft and hot air balloons within Malerkotla district .
These orders have been issued in view of the Republic Day celebrations for security reasons . These orders will remain in force till 26th January 2025. Punishable action will be taken against anyone violating these orders under Section 223 of the Indian Penal Code .
