Office of District Public Relations Officer, Faridkot Orders to remain in force till August 15

Punjab Desk: District Magistrate Faridkot, Ms. Poonamdeep Kaur, exercising the powers vested under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023, has issued orders imposing a complete ban on any person covering their face while walking within the limits of Faridkot district.
She stated that the Chief Minister of Punjab will be participating as the chief guest in the state-level Independence Day celebrations in Faridkot district and will hoist the national flag at Nehru Stadium. She further said that anyone covering their face could commit an act that may disturb the peace and law-and-order situation. Therefore, to maintain peace and law and order, orders have been issued that no person should conceal their identity by covering their face while moving around within Faridkot district limits.
These orders will remain in effect until August 15, 2025.
