District Election Officer T. Banith informed that citizens can now connect with the official accounts of the Chief Electoral Office on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. By simply scanning the QR code, people can follow these accounts and receive important updates, the latest notifications, and instructions from the Chief Election Officer.
He added that social media has emerged as the most effective medium to directly engage with the public and provide them with all necessary information. To reach as many voters as possible, the Chief Electoral Office has ensured that its social media handles remain active and functional. Citizens can access all information related to new voter registration, voter updates, corrections, and checking their names on the voter list from the comfort of their homes via these social media platforms.
