Punjab Desk: Civil Surgeon Dr. Rohit Goyal visited the dengue ward set up for dengue patients in Civil Hospital Abohar as well as other wards and inquired about the condition of the patients and also sought information about the problems. On this occasion, the Executive SMO of the Civil Hospital Dr. Suresh Kamboj, Pediatrician Dr. Saugat Jain, Deputy Mass Media Officer Manbir Singh, Pharmacy Officer Chandrabhan and staff were present with him.
On this occasion, Dr. Rohit Goyal said that better facilities are available for the treatment of dengue patients in the Civil Hospital. Beds with mosquito nets have been installed in the ward and there is no shortage of medical specialists and medicines. Blood bank services are available 24 hours a day. Giving further information, he said that the Health Department Fazilka is continuously spraying and fogging to eliminate dengue mosquito larvae. Special attention is being paid to the dengue hot spot areas and fogging and challaning are being done in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation.
He appealed to the people through the media to cooperate in the eradication of dengue by creating a clean environment around them and drying water sources once a week and then using them again so that vector-borne diseases can be avoided. He said that in case of fever, one should contact the nearest health institution and not use aspirin or ibuprofen tablets.
