Punjab Desk: Taking cognizance of the losses caused by floods and heavy rains in Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has ordered special girdawari (on-ground assessment) to ensure complete justice to the affected families. These views were expressed by S. Dalvir Singh Dhillon, Chairman of the Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation, during his visit today to the villages of Farwahi, Rudgarh, and other areas. Several houses in these villages have been damaged, and livestock losses have also been reported.

After meeting the affected residents and assuring them of full support, Chairman Dhillon stated that special teams are being constituted by the government to visit each household in flood and rain-affected areas to assess the damages. He said that floods have not only disrupted the economy of farmers but have also affected the livelihoods of laborers, as well as the homes and livestock of many families.

He further added that the Chief Minister has ordered a special girdawari to assess the situation of every farmer, laborer, and family on the ground, and to provide appropriate compensation. He emphasized that the Punjab Government will provide all possible assistance to the affected families, whether it is financial aid, rebuilding of homes, or other necessary support. The government is committed to reimbursing every single penny of the losses incurred.

Concluding, Dhillon said that the Mann Government of Punjab has always worked with people-centric policies and stands firmly with the flood-affected residents in every way. The aim of the government is not only to provide financial relief but also to rehabilitate affected families so that they can restart their lives with renewed strength. On this occasion, Naib Tehsildar Shri Vijay Kumar Ahir, retired Patwari Bhalinder Singh, and other officials were also present.
