Damaged Houses in Barra Pind to be Repaired Soon: Harjot Singh Bains

Punjab Desk: To provide relief to every citizen of Sri Anandpur Sahib constituency, Punjab Cabinet Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains visited the semi-hilly village of Barra Pind and assured residents that all houses damaged during the recent flood season will be repaired soon.
During his visit yesterday evening, S. Bains personally inspected the extent of damage in the village, where nearly 35 houses were affected due to heavy rains and floods. He informed that while residents have been temporarily accommodated in local Dharamshalas and relief camps, the Punjab Government will ensure immediate repair and rehabilitation measures. Essential supplies are already being provided to the affected families.
The Minister highlighted that the soil erosion and crop damage caused by the floods pose additional risks to local residents, stressing the need for urgent relief. He assured that the government will extend all possible support and added that his own family, relatives, and well-wishers are also contributing to help restore normalcy for the people of the region.
S. Bains also inspected the Panjehra Road, which connects Punjab to Himachal Pradesh and was severely damaged during the floods. He announced that repair work on the road has commenced and it will soon be fully motorable, restoring connectivity for the residents.
Additionally, the Minister visited the Government Middle School at Barra Pind Upper, where soil erosion had damaged a part of the campus. He assured that all restoration works will be carried out on priority.
Expressing gratitude, S. Bains thanked volunteers, local residents, panch-sarpanchs, and the youth of the area for their unwavering support and cooperation during this difficult time.
